Woman in Llanganuco, Peru

From a trip in 2003. The woman in the picture is cooking up guinea pigs for the only tourist concession around. She was lovely.

This is my process blog. The goal is to put a book together and publish it before my next birthday, in February of 2012. The book will be part memoir, part travelogue, part commentary on cultural trends that I have observed.

Originally, I planned to call this blog Completely Self-Indulgent Adolescent Drivel. I must give credit to a wonderful colleague of mine for that title - which I although I've changed, I want to keep the spirit of it here now. In discussing the ambition to create a book from past journals, we both agreed that it would require wading through an inordinate amount of self-indulgent adolescent drivel. I am attempting to sort some of that out here, in an effort to make the book interesting and appealing. Fear not, dear reader (yes, singular. prob just you... my sister), the book will have a different name. But I do think that Comepletely Self-Indulgent Adolescent Drivel should at least be a chapter title...

So, read on if you care to indulge me now... comments and suggestions are always welcome.
